From the first conversation to the final walkthrough

Our Building Process

A project is easier to plan when the scope, decisions, and next steps are clear.

Meruvias Construction uses the following approach for remodeling, repairs, and renovation work in Charlottesville and nearby communities. The details and sequence depend on the property and agreed scope.

  1. Consultation & site review

We discuss your goals, budget priorities, existing conditions, and timing. Bring photos, a list of concerns, and any plans or selected products you already have.

Your next step: Identify the three most important outcomes and any access or household constraints.

  2. Scope & estimate

We develop a documented service scope. Review which tasks and materials are included, what still needs to be selected, and how proposed changes will be discussed.

Your next step: Ask about exclusions, allowances, preparation, and cleanup before comparing proposals.

  3. Scheduling & coordination

We discuss project timing and communication checkpoints. Material availability, access, other trades, and any required approvals can affect the sequence.

Your next step: Confirm the decisions and deliveries needed before work starts and who will coordinate each item.

  4. Execution & updates

Work proceeds with progress updates. If existing conditions or proposed changes affect the scope, discuss what they mean for the work and schedule.

Your next step: Keep questions and decisions with the agreed point of contact so instructions stay clear.

  5. Final walkthrough

We review completion details and next-step recommendations. Walk through the agreed scope and identify any remaining items to discuss.

Your next step: Ask about care information for selected materials and confirm the status of the walkthrough list.
